Finland Endures Extreme Cold Temperatures

Subfreezing Temperatures Grip Northern Regions

Finland has been experiencing extremely low temperatures in recent weeks, with many parts of the country facing subfreezing conditions. The town of Sodankylä in northern Finland recorded a temperature of -37.3 degrees Celsius (-34.9 degrees Fahrenheit) on Monday, the coldest temperature recorded in Finland so far this winter.

Cold Snap Expected to Continue

The cold snap is expected to continue in the coming days, with temperatures across the country remaining below freezing. The Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) has issued a warning for heavy snowfall in parts of southern and western Finland, with up to 20 centimeters of snow expected in some areas.
